Across the gaming landscape, fans keep sounding the funeral bells for Microsoft's gaming division. Xbox was recently outsold by a relatively obscure console. Platform-specific outlets have started writing regarding Sony's platform as a new development. The past year represented complete chaos for the Xbox ecosystem. However, judging purely by the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it's evident that Xbox still intends to draw people in with quality releases on its flagship service.
The Available Now Titles
The two games currently accessible as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. Rather, it's what is coming to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's worth getting excited about.
Significant Forthcoming Releases
On Jan. 13, the subscription service will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that refreshes the standard Ubisoft formula with a cosmic robbery tale. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, previously described as "the perfect cocktail of terror and combat."
Intriguing Niche Additions
However, the more modest titles set to join the catalog are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite offering thrilling gameplay, drops on Jan. 7th — and it's worth experiencing whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.
The game set in a ruined Britain from last year might get its hooks in you within just a quarter of an hour.
Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is another one to watch. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.
A Well-Rounded Collection
Ultimately, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, nor are they massive exclusive blockbusters that are the sole reason for the service alone. But Microsoft's additions here are very dependable. The lineup provides a solid mix of old games you might have missed and fairly new titles that didn't get the attention they deserved the first time around — which makes them ideal prospects to experience a revival on Game Pass.
Be prepared to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, as it happens.
